Rigging work means the use of mechanical load shifting equipment (and associated gear) to move, place or secure a load using plant, equipment or members of a building or structures, to ensure the stability of those members or setting up or dismantling of crane or hoists. Duration 5 days.
Pre-requisite: Licence to perform rigging basic (RB)
Requirements
- Participants must wear steel capped footwear. STO can provide Hi Visibility Clothing and Hard Hats. For any specific PPE requirements please contact STO
- Participants must provide 100 points of Identity and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Please see evidence of identity form
- English language skills need to be sufficient to understand and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Numeracy skills are needed to interpret calculations and formulas
Content
Consists of all basic rigging work and:
- Cranes, conveyors, dredges and excavators
- Tilt slabs
- Hoists with jibs and self-climbing hoists
- Placement of precast concrete
- Demolition
- Dual lifts
Certification
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment for Licence to perform rigging Intermediate - CPCCLRG 3002A by a Safe Work NSW Accredited Assessor
HRWL Application
Participants have 60 days to process there Notice of Satisfactory at a NSW post office, also a passport photo will need to be provided
