To perform dogging work, you need a DG high-risk work licence.
Dogging consists of the application of slinging techniques to move a load (including the selection and inspection of lifting gear) and/or the directing of a crane/hoist operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of view of the crane/hoist operator.
Requirements
- Participants must wear steel capped footwear. STO can provide Hi Visibility Clothing and Hard Hats. For any specific PPE requirements please contact STO
- Participants must provide 100 points of Identity and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Please see evidence of identity form
- English language skills need to be sufficient to understand and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Numeracy skills are needed to interpret calculations and formulas

- Inspecting and Selecting lifting equipment
- Select and apply correct slinging techniques
- Select and Inspect communication methods
- Identifying the weight of a load
- Knot, Bends, Hitches
- Calculations including sling configurations
Certification
On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment for Licence to perform dogging - CPCCLDG 3001A by a Safe Work NSW Accredited Assessor
HRWL Application
Participants have 60 days to process there Notice of Satisfactory at a NSW post office, also a passport photo will need to be provided
